Watch Now Harry Brown Movie with Full HD

Academy Award nominee Daniel Barber (The Tonto Woman) makes his feature directorial debut with this gritty critique on contemporary British society starring Michael Caine as an elderly shut-in who's spurred to action by a senseless act of violence. Harry Brown (Caine) resides in a desolate public-housing apartment block as his sickly wife lies dying in a local hospital. He spends most of his days in solitude, only getting out to play the occasional game of chess at a nearby pub with his best friend, Leonard (David Bradley). The days of basic human decency seem to be a thing of the past, because in recent years barbarous drug dealers and gangsters have overtaken the dilapidated complex. Killing is a way of life for these young thugs, and as a result overburdened detectives Frampton (Emily Mortimer) and Hicock (Charlie Creed-Miles) are essentially relegated to knocking on doors and notifying parents when their children have been killed in the latest fracas, instead of investigating the crimes and jailing the guilty parties. When Leonard is murdered just feet from his own apartment, former Royal Marine Harry utilizes the skills he learned while fighting the IRA to take on the aggressive chavs who have intimidated the police into inaction. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Harry
Review For Movie Harry Brown
Caine, that master of gentle sadness, lets us know Harry immediately as a good man trying to get by -- and trying to understand what seems like madness.
Moira MacDonald-Seattle Times

After a long run of baroquely plotted crime dramas like Layer Cake and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, it's a little depressing to come across a vigilante drama whose sole twist is its protagonist's advanced age.
Ty Burr-Boston Globe

It's simply the tale of a man who decides to do something and sticks to his guns, so to speak. That the man is played by Michael Caine is what makes it worthwhile.
Bill Goodykoontz-Arizona Republic

On one side, it's all compellingly believable; on the other, it's simply incredible. We do our best to straddle the rift but, in the end, the gulf proves too wide, the contrast too great, and a tumbling movie takes us down with it.
Rick Groen-Globe and Mail

The film ranks right up there with Sleuth, Get Carter and Mona Lisa as being amongst Caineâ(TM)s toughest and best performances.
Peter Howell-Toronto Star

In Gran Torino, Eastwood took on the moral issues that screenwriter Gary Young and first-time director Daniel Barber studiously avoid. It's the difference between riveting and repellent.
Peter Travers-Rolling Stone

By the end, it's turned from a geriatric Death Wish into a one-dimensional Taxi Driver...
Sean Axmaker-Seanax.com

"[Caine] elevates this grim vigilante-fest from pretty darn good to essential viewing."
Steve Newall-Flicks.co.nz

A lot to digest stylistically and narratively, but Harry Brown is developed in an ever-increasing, shock-inducing manner and is undeniably successful.
Perri Nemiroff-CinemaBlend.com

Although Caine lives up to expectations in this nicely crafted (though violent) film, the oversimplified story he's given to work with keeps it from the top of Caine's impressive filmography.
Alison Gang-San Diego Union-Tribune

Harry Brown is a more meditative take on garden variety exploitation, but its attraction lies in the same guilty pleasure centers of the brain that exult in a kind of movie violence that is the very opposite of senseless.
Ian Buckwalter-DCist

A very good film -- albeit very violent and bloody -- and contains yet another splendid Michael Caine performance. I'm not complaining too much based on those grounds alone.
Ken Hanke-Mountain Xpress (Asheville, NC)

Maybe Michael Caine just wanted to make his "death wish" before kickin' his "bucket list." Say what you wanna say, but I'd rather watch old-timers bust gums than tandem parachute with Morgan Freeman while John Mayer plays softly in the background.
Mike Ward-Richmond.com

In the hands of a lesser actor, this would feel just as clichéd as it sounds. But Caine brings his smarts as well as his baggage to the character, making him more than another mad-as-hell guy with a gun.
Chris Foran-Milwaukee Journal Sentinel

A revenge fantasy that recalls the Charles Bronson Death Wish series and Clint Eastwood's Gran Torino, Daniel ... would be unremarkable if not for the grave, lowered gaze of Michael Caine and the relentless grittiness of its cinematography.
Philip Martin-Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

Forget those boring, ludicrously overpriced, would-be summer blockbusters and go see the art of vigilante-movie-making done to a fare-thee-well. Caine's Harry makes bad-boy Russell Crowe's Robin Hood look like a sissy.
James Verniere-Boston Herald

This latest in the slumming mini-genre offers a couple of new wrinkles: Michael Caine and self-righteous, soul-satisfying vigilante justice.
Peter Keough-Boston Phoenix

Full disclosure: I'd happily rewatch even my neighbor's vacation video from Dollywood if Caine were in it. And here, brooding, world-weary and emphysemic, he is, of course, magnificent.
Matt Soergel-Florida Times-Union

What could have been a smart urban drama turns into a ludicrous revenge-thriller.
Jeff Vice-Deseret News, Salt Lake City

[A] poignantly observed portrait of the bitter loneliness of old age -- director Daniel Barber has a keen eye for making the isolation sneak up on you and sting...
MaryAnn Johanson-Flick Filosopher

The film is dark, beautifully half-lit and as controlled as it needs to be so Caine can work his way deeper into the character. His performance is astonishing: Harry is stooped, no longer physically strong, but he has immense reserves.
Paul Byrnes-Sydney Morning Herald

Stylishly filmed in a grimy palette of putrescent green and muddy brown, the movie seems at times almost to revel in the nastiness it depicts.
Philippa Hawker-The Age (Australia)

This is tabloid propaganda and an irresponsibly negative stereotype to attach to the youngest and poorest section of society.
Beth Wilson-Trespass

Family
Review For Movie Family Weekend
Don't let the innocuous title fool you. Family Weekend is a subversive little comedy in which a tightly wound misfit of a teenage girl, fed up with watching her family spiral out of control, subjects her parents to an extreme intervention.
David Martindale-Dallas Morning News

The unconventional dysfunctional family has now become a Hollywood convention. It is familiar to a fault.
Tom Long-Detroit News

For a long while, director Benjamin Epps goes for breakneck farce; at its best, this is a batty mixture of family-values editorial and teen spoof.
Farran Smith Nehme-New York Post

We're sitting there, trapped. An angry little teenager's yelling at us. And we're not having any fun at all.
Stephen Whitty-Newark Star-Ledger

The script, by Matt K. Turner, is loaded with contradictions, its hollow flirtation with subversion amount to airplane pablum.
Andy Webster-New York Times

What keeps the film afloat is the buoyant young cast, with Rulin especially watchable as the tightly wound lead and Joey King as her younger sister, who's an aspiring actress.
Mark Olsen-Los Angeles Times

Watching "Family Weekend" you feel as trapped as the tied-up parents, wondering, when will it all end?
James Plath-Movie Metropolis

A couple twists short of a good comedy; this film seems like more of a TV prime time test spin for the cast and crew than a fully developed film.
Ron Wilkinson-Monsters and Critics

Family Weekend is just as simpy as its plot sounds, but under Alabama-born director Epps, making his feature directing debut, this comedy skips along on good intentions with actors who put more into the characters than they deserve.
Dann Gire-Daily Herald (IL)

An enjoyably leftfield oddball comedy.
Mark Adams-Screen International

Anarchic, silly, witless, cartoonish and unsophisticated despite lively performances by the talented Olesya Rulin and Joey King.
Avi Offer-NYC Movie Guru

Teen tries to repair dysfunctional family in so-so comedy.
S. Jhoanna Robledo-Common Sense Media

An appealing film about the rigors of parenting and misperception of what it takes to be a parent.
Wesley Lovell-Cinema Sight

Feels longer than just two days
Robert Denerstein-Movie Habit

In need of a more judicious editor and a game plan to approach the steady erosion of marriage with a profound hit of honesty, not just a sitcom-style presentation of forced therapy.
Brian Orndorf-Blu-ray.com

Who was "Family Weekend" made for? Beats the hell out of me.
Dustin Putman-DustinPutman.com

Despite the occasional descent into clumsy farce, it largely succeeds in creating its own space and providing a pleasingly different teen perspective on life.

Snitch
Review For Movie Snitch
The film tries to paint in shades of gray with vague criticisms of the war on drugs, but the absurdity of its he-man Everyman plot ends up turning its moral palette a muddy brown.
Keith Staskiewicz-Entertainment Weekly

Despite its apparent compromises to noble finger-wagging (initially) and requisite fist-pumping (eventually), Waugh has fashioned a sturdy character-first entertainment out of Snitch.
William Goss-Film.com

Dwayne Johnson tries so hard to be taken seriously in the ponderous and preposterous drama Snitch that it hurts to watch him in much the same way it hurts to watch the weightlifting competition at the summer Olympics.
Mary F. Pols-TIME Magazine

Ultimately, unfortunately, this is a property that probably would have been better as one of Johnson's old, less ambitious films - straightforwardly violent, and crammed with two-fisted revenge - than as this more polite, issue-oriented thriller.
Stephen Whitty-Newark Star-Ledger

What a pleasant surprise.
Rick Groen-Globe and Mail

When the list of the year's most eminently forgettable films is drawn up at the end of 2013, "Snitch" will likely be near the top.
Tom Long-Detroit News

Although hardly original, this tightly paced story will keep you invested through to the end
James Luxford-The National

A pseudo-serious hand-wringing action drama that uses social importance to disguise its unoriginality.
Eric D. Snider-EricDSnider.com

It's intense and involving from the start, even when it turns preachy.
Rich Cline-Shadows on the Wall

Snitch wants to be Breaking Bad. When the camera's on Johnson, it's just bad.
Charlotte O'Sullivan-This is London

Teeth are gritted, shaven-heads stroked, families hugged, moist-eyes blinked - but it's the sight of big things getting smashed to pieces that endures, and ultimately bores.
Mark Kermode-Observer [UK]

Its smaller, quieter moments instill hope that Johnson can stretch even further and become worthy of much stronger material.
Jeffrey M. Anderson-San Francisco Examiner

Dwayne Johnson tries to flex his acting muscles in this smarter-than-usual action movie, based on a true story that gets under our skin.
Rich Cline-Contactmusic.com

Directed by stuntman Ric Roman Waugh, Snitch is also a surprisingly thoughtful affair.
Graham Young-Birmingham Mail

If Snitch ultimately perishes from over-ambition, at least it's an honourable death.
Christopher Tookey-Daily Mail [UK]

Good intentions are all but submerged in nonsense.
Peter Bradshaw-Guardian [UK]

Spurious isn't the word. Po-faced anti-drug film based on the silliest legal loophole ever.
David Jenkins-Little White Lies

Neither clever nor stupid enough to work.
Robbie Collin-Daily Telegraph

Overall Snitch aims to entertain and yank a parental heartstring but events unfold, it lessens the effect and cultivates in a forehead-slapping ending that does raise the odd snigger.
Lisa Giles-Keddie-HeyUGuys

Johnson has the acting chops for this more dramatic fare and the story is exciting and thought-provoking.
Henry Fitzherbert-Daily Express

Consider it time well served.
Elliott Noble-Sky Movies

The script can't quite decide whether it's a serious emotional drama or a pumped-up action flick and it ends up disappointing on both counts as a result.
Matthew Turner-ViewLondon

Overall it's a solid thriller that hints at a life beyond blockbusters for its leading man.
Rob Carnevale-The List

What's undeniably credibility-cracking is the idea of The Rock as an Ordinary Joe in jeopardy.
Simon Reynolds-Digital Spy

Works well as a logistical crime-drama that sometimes veers into far-fetchedness.
John Serba-MLive.com

[Director Rick Roman] Waugh is self indulgent in his approach to the material, and the dialogue occasionally bogs in preachy rhetoric. Once one moves beyond these annoyances, Snitch works as a simple and enjoyable action thriller.

Watch Now The Paperboy Movie with Full HD

A sexually and racially charged film noir from Oscar-nominated director Lee Daniels (Precious), The Paperboy takes audiences deep into the backwaters of steamy 1960s South Florida, as investigative reporter Ward Jansen (Matthew McConaughey) and his partner Yardley Acheman (David Oyelowo) chase a sensational, career-making story. With the help of Ward's younger brother Jack (Zac Efron) and sultry death-row groupie Charlotte Bless (Nicole Kidman), the pair tries to prove violent swamp-dweller Hillary Van Wetter (John Cusack) was framed for the murder of a corrupt local sheriff. Based on the provocative bestselling novel by Pete Dexter (Mulholland Falls, Rush), The Paperboy peels back a sleepy small town's decades-old façade of Southern gentility to reveal a quagmire of evil as dark as a Florida bayou. -- (C) Official Site

The
Review For Movie The Paperboy
"The Paperboy" is one of those rare examples where you might wish the movie was less faithful to the book.
Rafer Guzman-Newsday

Yes, it's a dizzying stew set to boil.
Lisa Kennedy-Denver Post

The Paperboy is southern Gothic wallowing in the swamp of low camp. And if the wallowing were deliberate, this might have been hugely funny.
Rick Groen-Globe and Mail

The Paperboy bears some promise as a good-bad movie, but it unfolds as a bad-bad one.
Peter Howell-Toronto Star

It's a movie that seems to have a mild form of heatstroke: it's blurry, as if filmed long ago, and feverish, and the story wanders all over the place as if lost in a bayou. When it's over, you want to wipe your brow.
Moira MacDonald-Seattle Times

The Paperboy is over-the-top every which way you look.
Steven Rea-Philadelphia Inquirer

There's something undeniably compelling about the cast's daringly go-for-broke performances... but Daniels fragments the narrative and throws in so many tricksy directorial touches that the whole thing becomes an annoyingly indulgent mess.
Jason Best-Movie Talk

The sweaty, lurid, self-serious nonsense is hard to take seriously, but I'll say this much for the film: it ain't boring.

Eric D. Snider-EricDSnider.com

I'll just get it out of the way now: The Paperboy is unbelievably awful.
Violet Lucca-Film Comment Magazine

If you're bothered by frequent utterances of the "N-word" and the sight of Kidman spreading her talent - and her gams - wider than Sharon Stone in 'Basic Instinct,' you're gonna wanna look away from this sick, sizzling display.
Al Alexander-The Patriot Ledger

While there's much here about family loyalty and a 'don't mess with the swamp' aspect, Daniels' film has nevertheless been most discussed for its sex stuff, with every character having some sleazy secret or a scene devoted to their raunchy pleasure.
David 'Mad Dog' Bradley-Rip It Up

A seething, swampy murder investigation infused with the sweaty smell of bodies and driven by a casual force that is seductively unstable, darkly funny and strangely exhilarating. Daniels is a visionary.
Simon Weaving-Screenwize

The Paperboy is flawed, more deserving of a rubbernecking than a viewing. But it's hard to tear your eyes away.
Kate Muir-Times [UK]

You certainly couldn't accuse anyone involved in The Paperboy of playing it safe, and for this reason, Lee Daniels' film is one to file under misjudged must-sees.
Catherine Bray-Film4

( ... ) a film that captivates, puzzles and loses its own sense of direction in equal measure
Graham Young-Birmingham Mail

Judging by her edgier scenes [Nicole] Kidman is clearly uninterested in currying any favour at the multiplex. And all credit to her.
Jim Schembri-3AW

Wastes an exceptional cast on an incoherent tale ...
Philip French-Observer [UK]

There is a certain trashy appeal, but in the end it's all too random to really mean anything. Apart from the cast, The Paperboy just doesn't deliver.
Alistair Harkness-Scotsman

What a cast. What a disappointment.
Ben Rawson-Jones-Digital Spy

Filmmaker Daniels follows up his acclaimed hit Precious with what might be the trashiest movie in recent memory: a swampy thriller packed with desperate characters hiding grisly secrets.
Rich Cline-Contactmusic.com

It may yet become a camp classic, if no other kind.
David Sexton-This is London

The plotting is disjointed, the execution feels incoherent and none of it makes a great deal of sense.
Allan Hunter-Daily Express

With Precious and The Paperboy, Daniels has confirmed his status as the most emotionally incontinent director of his generation.
Donald Clarke-Irish Times

It's difficult to know what's going on, and even harder to care.
Christopher Tookey-Daily Mail [UK]

At least The Paperboy delivers plenty of memorable moments - even if you may wish you hadn't seen many of them.
Alex Zane-Sun Online

So bad it isn't even good-bad.

Watch Now War Witch Movie with Full HD

Montreal-based filmmaker Kim Nguyen paints a poignant and harrowing portrait of Komona, a 14-year-old girl (wonderfully played by nonprofessional actress Rachel Mwanza) who has been kidnapped from her African village by rebels to become a child soldier. She escapes from the camp with an older albino soldier and experiences for the very first time the joys of a peaceful and loving life, but a fresh tragedy will force her to confront and fight the ghosts haunting her mind. Although inspired by a real story that took place in Burma, Nguyen decided to film War Witch in the Democratic Republic of the Congo without giving a specific location to the plot. He worked on the film for 10 years, watching and catching children's points of view with his camera and mixing in tightly edited flashbacks in which the spirits of human beings appear with an ultra-realistic and violent storyline. But War Witch is also a poignant and impossible love story filled with magic, picturesque images, and even light moments like the powerful visit to an albino camp or the chasing of a white rooster. War
Review For Movie War Witch
Nguyen brings the harshness of this world alive not with big dramatic flourishes but with an everyday tone that makes it all the more frightening. This is how it is - how else would it be?
Tom Long-Detroit News

Canadian writer-director Kim Nguyen spent nearly a decade researching this docudrama about child soldiers in Africa, and the film feels as authoritative as a first-hand account.
Ben Sachs-Chicago Reader

A haunting take on unspeakably grim subject matter, shot on location in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Colin Covert-Minneapolis Star Tribune

A powerful and upsetting portrait of a young girl compelled into unimaginably horrific circumstances.
Claudia Puig-USA Today

Nguyen, astonishingly, manages to wring something vaguely like a happy ending from this tragic story.
Moira MacDonald-Seattle Times

War Witch is most effective not when we are looking in on Komona but when we are inside her head.
Peter Rainer-Christian Science Monitor

This year's City of God.
James Croot-Flicks.co.nz

... driven by a remarkably natural, unaffected performance by Mwanza. And Nguyen, despite relying a little too heavily on the initial voice-over for exposition, is a confident and sensitive intelligence behind the camera.
Philip Martin-Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

You're likely to ponder its images, its insights into a very foreign (for most of us) location and the tragic situation of Komona (and others like her) for a long time to come.
John Beifuss-Commercial Appeal (Memphis, TN)

Is it accurate depiction of Africa's child soldiers? I don't know, thank God. But it feels authentic to its very core, and that makes it as hard to forget as it is to ignore.
Mike Scott-Times-Picayune

Brutal without turning exploitative, the result is harrowing and heartbreaking.
Todd Jorgenson-Cinemalogue.com

Nguyen creates a mesmerizing tone through his camerawork, editing, sound and the infusion of African folk imagery and ritual, but it's Mwanza's performance as Komona that makes "War Witch" feel so miraculous.
Alison Gang-San Diego Union-Tribune

Nguyen reportedly worked on "War Witch" for a decade, and it shows in both the immediacy and authenticity of his tale, and the meticulous craft with which it's told.
Marc Mohan-Oregonian

Made with extremely clear-eyed restraint from harangues, sentiment, message-mongering, or anything else that would cheapen its central character's suffering and fight.
Tim Brayton-Antagony & Ecstasy

War Witch features a standout performance by Rachel Mwanza, but the supernatural visions don't really suit the film's tone and mood.
Jennifer Tate-ViewLondon

Nguyen's compassion and commitment to the issue is admirable, and at its best, War Witch is devastating.
Sean Axmaker-Seattle Weekly

War Witch is remarkable for the fact that it never strays into sentimentality or sensationalism.
Cara Nash-FILMINK (Australia)

...a love story between youngsters who are forced to become adults all too early in their lives.
Robin Clifford-Reeling Reviews

This is a straight ahead essay on warfare at its worst and the survival of the human spirit at its best.
Ron Wilkinson-Monsters and Critics

An astonishing drama set in Africa that vividly depicts the courage and resiliency of a 12-year-old girl whose spiritual gifts enable her to survive.
Frederic and Mary Ann Brussat-Spirituality and Practice

It is astonishing that film that contains such violence can have such a serene tone. The source of the serenity is the measured, calm narration by Komona (voice of Diane Umawahoro) that is the telling of her story to her unborn child
